Companies which operate in Poland are still seeking top class management. Demand for experts is noted in almost all industries. Corporations want predominantly experienced candidates and candidate with teamwork skills. Education is becoming a secondary priority. Headhunting companies inform, however, that higher expectations from both employers as well as employees frequently make recruitment very difficult.

Monika Ciesielska, President of Carpenter Consulting, stresses that considerable turnover in key positions is noted especially in fast growing industries, i.e. IT and Telecommunications. She points to a different phenomenon still. ‘A very high demand is also noted in the engineering industry, a sector which has undergone significant restructuring in recent years. Engineers – who up until now were underrated – have become the most sought after staff,’ says Monika Ciesielska. She also highlights that more and more often headhunting companies search for employees to fill different positions that those a few years ago. ‘Five years ago, staff consulting companies mainly focused on filling vacancies. Within the last 2 to 3 years, additionally newly created posts in companies are being filled where new departments are created, new production lines are built, or introduction of innovative products is planned,’ says Ciesielska./…/
